Editor's Note: The following was taken from an email by Jens Valasquez (Aaron's father) on Aaron's experience at the Blair camp.

About 35 wrestlers were at the Blair wrestling room Sunday July 16, 2006, as it was open to all Fargo competitors to keep their skills sharp and their weight down before departing on Thursday. The room is actually two full wrestling rooms with the trophy case room in between.

Yesterday's practice session grouped pools of four wrestlers doing round-robin live drills in neutral. Aaron worked out with three Pascack Hills rec guys - two kids state champs and one runner-up and all three going to Blair in the fall. He did alright.

Aaron recently qualified in the Cadet Division for the National Freestyle and Greco-Roman Tournament that takes place in Fargo, North Dakota on July, 20. Read about Aaron's first few days at Blair...>>
