Clinic: Typically for wrestlers in 3rd and 4th grade with minimal skills. Focuses on foundations of wrestling. Competition for this group is based on readiness and focus in practice JV: Typically for 3rd grade and above with good attention span/ focus, intermediate skill level. Focuses on foundations of wrestling, but moves at a faster rate than Clinic. Competition available. Varsity: For our experienced wrestlers. Focuses on advanced technique.
Why:
#1 because its safe and fun (you have to come and see for yourself)
We give you 2 weeks to come and try it out before committing
When the whistle blows, it's just you and your opponent and therefore wrestlers quickly learn the relationship between effort and achievement
Success in wrestling is measured not by wins and losses but by the will and desire to improve.
It’s a fun sport for kids who like contact sports (football, lacrosse, soccer)
Kids compete against kids their own size (where else can a small kid be a champion?)
If you're looking for instant gratification don't try wrestling, if you're looking for ways to encourage your child's physical and mental discipline then this is your sport.
Morristown Wrestling has been building a reputation as one of the top teams in Northern NJ.

Truth about Wrestling
So, your son tells you that he wants to take wrestling and you immediately envision him being lifted into the air by a testosterone filled kid wearing a Superman costume. If the idea of wrestling brings fear to your mind based upon the images portrayed by what you have seen on t.v., then put your mind at ease. Youth wrestling is very different from the professional wrestlers on WWE.
“I believe that wrestling as adopted and practiced in prep schools and uni-versities, under trained coaches, is one of the best constructive sports that an individual can take part in and should be encouraged in prep schools, universities, and other institutions whose aim is to develop young men."
- Knute Rockney, Norte Dame Football Head Coach
"Well-respected by coaches and teammates for his tough, aggressive nature (comes from his prep wrestling background)"
- NFL Draft Scout on Alex Stepanovich
"I would have all of my Offensive Lineman wrestle if I could."
- John Madden, NFL Hall of Fame Football Coach
“I never met a wrestler that was a coward.”
- Joe Gibbs, Washington Redskins Head Coach
