Last night at Mt. Olive Middle School, the
Morristown Junior Colonials Wrestling Team was voted in to
join the prestigious Tri County
Youth Wrestling League. This has been a culmination of
many years of hard work by the coaches and board members to
get our club, parents and kids ready for this day. The dream
of Dan Corcoran, Bryan Manahan and Matt Manahan, all former
members of the Tri County, Twin Town Tigers was not lost on
any of the members of the league that voted us in last night.
Matt highlighted some accomplishments in
his pitch last night that included the only one point loss
to Jefferson at the end of season, as well as our middle school
win against Mt. Olive, both matches included lineups that
were stacked with Tri-County wrestlers.
We were commended by all the coaches present last night from
Randolph, Hanover Park, Mt. Olive, Roxbury and Montville.
They all saw our club wrestle this year, either with North
Jersey, at our clinic scrimmages or with our Middle School
Team, and they all agreed that we will be a great asset to
the league as well as tough competitors.
Special thanks to all the folks involved with the Randolph
program who worked behind the scenes to push us and mentioned
to us for the last time last night..."what took so long"!
